This weekend marks the unofficial end of my first contract (which has been extended, thus not officially an end). Due to our original contract, the extension required we find a new place to stay, and on of the OTs I work with has graciously allowed us to rent his home in Spokane, WA. I will commute into Post Falls for another month, and then see what the next adventure holds.
I will add pictures to capture some of our favorite moments from the past three months once I am on my laptop, but it will not be an easy task. The past few months have left me breathless with awe and grattitude several times. It has all been one reminder after another that God dreams even bigger than I do. Allowing us to have an amazing cabin right on Lake Coeur D'Alene was a dream come true.
I have hiked to Scotchman's Peak, Tubbs Hill, Trail 259, Mineral Ridge and several unnamed trails. I have caught trout in CDA River, ran along the lake in the evenings, and camped/wandered through the wilderness to my lil heart's content. I am so grateful to have new friends and B-Rad by my side to help me sane through all the changes. My parents were both able to come visit twice, sharing the fun endeavors that Northern Idaho has to offer.
This evening we took the dogs for a walk through the new neighborhood and found live music at the local coffee shop and a "little free library" along the road in someone's front yard-my heart was full of warm fuzzies.
Update: a few of the winning pictures:
